Year 3 Plan 

Focus Area: Data Systems 

Overall Outcome Goal Year 3: By June 2025, to train 100% of administrators, teachers and staff on data collection practices.

Usable Practice: Develop and implement a system for data collection, review, monitoring and assessment that can be used to shift student outcomes. The collected data will assist in making an informed decision by zeroing in on priorities such as behavior and academic outcomes to establish a plan to improve disproportionate student performance and behavior outcomes particularly for marginalized students.

By October 2024, finalize and communicate the training plan on the data collection process, procedures and mechanisms. 

 

Initial Implementation 

Elementary principal; MS administrator; HS administrator; ENL director; member of PPS team; Data supervisor; Director of Guidance; Technology Technician (IT rep) 

Cabinet and Administrator meetings will finalize the creation of a messaging and training plan. 

 

ITS Staff develop and roll out finalized training.

Implementation team will provide an update to the superintendent by December with a final update by the superintendent to the Board of Education in February.

Focus Area: Multi-Tiered Systems of Support 

Overall Outcome Goal Year 3:By June 2025, 25% of behavioral referrals for Black, LatinX, and multi-racial students will be reduced (K-12) due to the implementation of a new code of conduct, SEL practice and AIS/academic supports.

Usable Practice: Develop and implement a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) that is culturally responsive to racially, culturally and linguistically marginalized students to inform data driven decision making to provide culturally responsive tiered supports to shift discipline and academic outcomes.

Record direct observations of staff and students utilizing a checklist strategy regarding the components of RULER.  

 

Charters created - every class/school/staff will create an agreement of shared values and principles aligned with RULER. 

 

District wide and specific school websites, including social media information updated and communicated to align with district goals for SEL to provide a consistent message.

Assess implementation of the blueprint that will be used as a guide districtwide. 

 

By June 2025, academic and building teams will be implementing revised and new practices/programs for AIS instruction.

Focus Area: Professional Learning and Development 

Overall Outcome Goal Year 3: By June 2025, the committees will begin to implement professional learning to the entire school community on culturally responsive disciplinary practices and academic access/outcomes.

Usable Practice: Develop, disseminate and implement a professional development plan, using our existing professional learning structure, that is culturally responsive for educators and addresses disproportionality and academic outcomes, disciplinary measures, and curricular access for marginalized students.

Train district and building staff on trainings that have been developed in Years 1 and 2 that include: the PD blueprint, RULER blueprint, code of conduct and CRSE language (NYSED CRSE framework), academic curricular.

Overall Outcome Goal Year 3: By June 2025, increase engagement of marginalized community members by 20%.**

Usable Practice: Identify, develop and implement a sustainable system for family and community engagement that ensures representation of racially, culturally and linguistically marginalized families in order to build effective ongoing communication between community members and the school district staff.
