Fall 2026 Drivers Education

        Registration Opens Wednesday, August 12 at 9:00am

This 16-week program includes 24 hours of classroom instruction AND 24 hours of driving instruction, with each student spending 6 hours behind the wheel. Additional driving practice outside of class is required by New York State. Students must be 16 years of age with a valid New York State learners permit by the first day of class (both class and driving instruction).

Tuition is $860 for residents, $960 for non-residents. Withdrawal before the start of the semester, will receive a refund minus a $20 processing fee. After the start of the semester there will be no refunds.

Attendance at all classes is mandatory. If attendance requirements are not fulfilled, a student will not be issued a certificate of completion and will not receive a refund. In-car driving lessons will be provided by Bell Auto Driving School. Each car will have four students per session.

Theory class will be either Tuesdays OR Thursdays.

When students finish all the requirements for this non-credit course, their Certificate of Completion (MV285), will be automatically added to their DMV record. They will receive a printed letter of completion that can be used to request an insurance premium discount. After passing their road test students will then receive a class D license at 17.
