Schreiber Theatre Company Presents William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream

Schreiber Theatre Company invites the Port Washington community to experience William Shakespeare's beloved romantic comedy, A Midsummer Night's Dream, this November at Schreiber High School. Set against a visually stunning Victorian steampunk backdrop, this classic tale brings together star-crossed lovers, warring fairies, and a colorful cast of local tradesmen in a night of magic, humor, and enchantment.
The story follows Hermia and Lysander, two young people who flee into the Athenian woods to escape an enforced marriage and the strict rules of court. Unbeknownst to them, they are pursued by Demetrius—Hermia's unwanted suitor—and Helena, who is hopelessly in love with Demetrius. Once in the forest, the mortals unwittingly step into the middle of a dispute between Oberon and Titania, the King and Queen of the Fairies. When the mischievous fairy Puck intervenes with a magic potion that causes anyone to fall in love with the first creature they see, chaos quickly ensues. Spells go awry, loyalties shift, and a troupe of amateur actors rehearsing a play finds themselves swept up in the mystical madness.
A Midsummer Night's Dream features the talents of cast members Zoey Armstrong, Addison Craig, Peyton Dejana, Micah Detor, Dylan Diamond, Asher Donovan, Katherine Duarte-Recinos, Amanda Greber-Raines, Madison Grosdidier, Gabriel Jaffe, Noah Lenter, Evan Matthew Mallari, Olivia Perez, Nicholas Picciuto, Sofia Piza, Antonio Portillo Palma, Declan Straus, Brigitta Rudegeair, and Viktor Straesser.
The play is directed by Ms. Christine Nelson with Ms. Lauren Foster-Holzer as the Producer and Mrs. Allison Friedman as Technical Director. Set Construction and Decorating by Mrs. Helen Albertson and Mr. Richie Albertson, Prop Design and Construction by Mrs. Leah Siskin and Ms. Hannah Siskin, Photography by Mr. Michael Siskin, and Technical Consultant, Mr. Ben Hegarty.

A Midsummer Night's Dream has evening performances on November 20th and 21st at 7:00pm with matinee performances on November 21st and 22nd at 2:00pm in the Paul D. Schreiber High School Auditorium, 101 Campus Drive, Port Washington, NY.
