Port Washington School District is proud to announce that four Schreiber High School students have earned national distinction in the 2026 NCTE Achievement Awards in Writing, one of the most prestigious student writing competitions in the country.
This year, 689 students from 38 states, Puerto Rico, Washington D.C., and six countries competed. National judges evaluated each piece of writing for expression of ideas, language use, and unique perspective and voice. The contest awards four distinctions, First Class, Superior, Excellent, and Merit.
Congratulations to the following students from Schreiber High School on their outstanding achievements:
Sadie Liberman: First Class (Highest Distinction)

Michael Isserles: Superior
