Port Washington Community Approves 2026-2027 School Budget

Thank you to the Port Washington residents who participated in today's budget vote and trustee election. We are pleased to announce that the 2026-2027 school budget has passed, which allows us to continue our commitment to academic excellence, expand opportunities for students, and invest in the people and systems that support high-quality teaching and learning across our schools.

Voters also re-elected Julie Epstein and Rachel Gilliar to the Board of Education. We look forward to their governance in the coming term.

Official Results

  • Proposition 1 (School Budget): Adopted * 1,541 Yes | 369 No
    (Passes by 80.7%)

  • Proposition 2 (Funding the Repair Reserve): Adopted * 1,525 Yes | 276 No 
    (Passes by 84.7%)

  • Proposition 3 (Facilities Improvement Program): Adopted * 1,548 Yes | 240 No 
    (Passes by 86.6%)

Board of Education Trustees:

  • Julie Epstein: 1,550 votes

  • Rachel Gilliar: 1,478 votes

  • Write-ins: 33 votes
