Paul D. Schreiber High School senior Samantha Benson-Tyler is this week's News 12 Scholar athlete sponsored by Four Leaf Federal Credit Union! As a national champion racewalker, she is currently ranked #1 in the United States for the 1500-meter and mile events. Her commitment to service extends to her faith community, where she has completed numerous volunteer projects at her synagogue and fights antisemitism through the American Jewish Committee’s Leaders of Tomorrow program. Samantha also champions mental well-being via her "Power of Positivity" initiative, placing inspirational messages throughout her town. Whether advocating before Congress or mentoring her teammates, Samantha exemplifies the true heart of a scholar-athlete!
