Port Washington School District Celebrates Eleven Student-Athletes Committing to Collegiate Athletics

On March 6, 2026, the Port Washington School District hosted a celebratory signing ceremony to honor eleven standout student-athletes as they officially committed to continue their athletic and academic careers at the collegiate level.

The event, held at Paul D. Schreiber High School, brought together families, coaches, administrators, faculty, and teammates to recognize the years of discipline, perseverance, and excellence these students have demonstrated both on the field and in the classroom. The ceremony was supported by the Viking Sports Foundation, who provided each signee with commemorative pennants and signing pens.

"Today is about commitment, perseverance, and opportunity," said Director of Athletics, Nick Schratwieser, during his opening remarks. "The students we are recognizing have dedicated countless hours to their sports while balancing the demands of academics and school life here at Port Washington. They have worn our colors with pride and helped build a culture of excellence."

Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Gaurav Passi, praised the students' dedication to both their sport and their studies: "This milestone is a direct reflection of the culture of excellence we strive for at Port Washington. These eleven student-athletes have demonstrated that true success is found at the intersection of hard work, talent, and character. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and know they will continue to represent the Pride of Port Washington with distinction at the collegiate level."
