Port Washington School District Welcomes New Director of Guidance

The Port Washington School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Justin Arini as the new Director of Guidance, effective July 1.

Mr. Arini brings to Port Washington a wealth of experience supporting students' academic, social, and emotional growth. Most recently, he served as Director of Guidance and Social Work at West Islip Union Free School District. Prior to that, he was the K–12 Director of Guidance at Cold Spring Harbor Central School District, where he worked to enhance counseling programs and strengthen student support services.

Mr. Arini holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Colorado Technical University and a Master of Science degree in School Counseling from New York Institute of Technology. He also earned advanced certificates in School Building Leadership and School District Leadership from Stony Brook University.

In addition to his leadership roles, Mr. Arini has extensive experience as a school counselor and as a college counselor, helping students navigate academic pathways and college planning. Throughout his career, he has focused on creating welcoming environments where all students feel supported and empowered to reach their full potential.
