Port Washington’s Kevin Baudo Honored with Distinguished Service Award

Kevin Baudo, longtime Middle School Athletics Coordinator for the Port Washington School District, has been awarded the Distinguished Service Award by the Nassau County Council of Administrators, a division of NYS AHPERD (New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance).

Baudo, who is retiring this year, made history in 2004 when he became Port Washington’s first-ever Middle School Athletics Coordinator. Over the past two decades, he has built a strong and inclusive athletics program that has served thousands of students.

The Distinguished Service Award recognizes individuals who not only demonstrate exceptional leadership in their own districts, but who also contribute meaningfully to the advancement of physical education, health, recreation, and dance throughout New York State.

The Port Washington School District congratulates Mr. Baudo on this well-deserved honor and thanks him for his years of service, leadership, and commitment to student wellness and athletics.
