We would like to extend a warm Sousa welcome to Mrs. Meg Sheehan, the new assistant principal who will split her time between Sousa and Guggenheim this year. Mrs. Sheehan comes to us from the Freeport School District where she was the principal for the Early Childhood Learning Center (Pre-K- K). Meg previously was a teacher for the Three Village Central School District and a principal for the North Shore Montessori School in Stony Brook. Prior to becoming an educator, Meg attended Mount Saint Mary College where she received her certification as a Registered Nurse. She also attended Dowling College where she obtained her Master’s degree in Literacy Education and Stony Brook University where she received her certification in School Building and School District Leadership.

Mrs. Sheehan is excited to be joining the Port Washington community. “It is an honor to be welcomed as the assistant principal of Sousa and Guggenheim Elementary Schools,” she said. “I am looking forward to learning and growing with our families, our students, our staff and our community partners in the coming year.”
