     Mrs. Giebel

We are very happy that Mrs. Giebel is our principal! We asked her a few questions and we would like to share her answers with you. She has been a teacher for 27 years. She was a classroom teacher for 14 years, a reading teacher for 10 years, and now a principal for 3 years. She likes her job very much! She likes to read and she likes to swim at the beach. She is a Yankee fan but, sometimes she roots for the Mets. She has a dog named Bandit, a cat named Peggy, and a turtle named Franklin. Her favorite part about her job is hanging people by their toenails and walking around to classrooms to see what they are doing. We asked her, "Why did you want to be principal?" She said, "I felt I had grown as an educator and wanted to share what I have learned." She is very happy to be at Guggenheim school and loves her students very much!
