Ms. Herz, Librarian x5566
Ms. Kandel Library Assistant x5565Sixth grade students got to meet a real author this past month when James Preller (a native Long Islander) came to speak in the library about his novel, Bystander. All of the students read the book beforehand with their English teachers, Ms. Burgess and Mr.Smith. Mr. Preller spoke about how he keeps an idea notebook and other details of his writing process. Students participated by asking questions at the end of his presentation. We are thankful to the Port Washington Public Library who helped fund this special event!
