The Port Washington School District offers 81 sports at both the high school and middle school levels.  Paul D. Schreiber High School has 49 teams at the varsity and junior varsity levels.   Weber Middle School has 32 teams.
Port Washington has one of the largest enrollments in Nassau County and competes in the highest  classifications for playoffs.
From 2008-2015  every varsity program at the high school was named New York State Scholar Athlete team earning Paul D. Schreiber a Schools of Distinction honor from the New York State Public High School Athletic Association.  We are proud of our outstanding scholar athletes.
Our district has a turf facility for football, soccer, lacrosse and field hockey contests.  The Schreiber gymnasium has a new sound system and scoreboard.  Our interscholastic running program competes on a new state of the art track and field facility with upgraded bleacher seating.
An upgrade in athletic facilities as part of the 70 million dollar bond will add two turf fields on the Schreiber campus and new lights and bleachers on the existing turf field.
